Last Updated: February 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to ampereengineering.com (the “Site”) and any products or services provided by Ampere Engineering LLC (“Ampere Engineering,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Site or requesting services, you agree to these Terms.
1) Services Overview
We provide services that may include, without limitation:
- Electronics diagnostics and evaluation
- Component-level PCB repair and board-level troubleshooting
- ECU/control module evaluation and repair (when feasible)
- Electrical installation and accessory integration
- Custom wire harness design/assembly and harness repair
- Custom 3D printed mounts, brackets, and enclosures
- Pickup/delivery logistics for approved paid services (as described during approval)
Services may be performed on automotive, powersports, marine, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, and certain aviation-related equipment subject to the limitations in these Terms.
2) Quotes, Estimates, and Authorization
- Any quote or estimate is based on the information you provide and may change after evaluation.
- No corrective work proceeds without approval.
- If parts are needed or the repair is not practical/reliable, we will inform you before moving forward.
- You authorize Ampere Engineering to perform reasonable diagnostic actions necessary to determine fault mode and feasibility.
3) Diagnostic/Evaluation Fees
If you charge diagnostics separately, use this:
- Evaluation/diagnostic fees, if applicable, will be disclosed before work begins.
- Diagnostic fees may be non-refundable and may or may not be credited toward repair depending on the job.
4) Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information (symptoms, history, modifications, environment of failure)
- Disclose prior repairs, aftermarket wiring, and any known hazards
- Remove personal items and back up data when applicable
- Provide keys/fobs/access as needed for vehicle work (if applicable)
- Ensure devices are lawfully owned and provided for lawful purposes
5) Data on Devices and Access
You understand that devices may contain personal or proprietary data. We:
- Access only what is reasonably necessary to diagnose, validate, or complete the work
- Do not assume responsibility for pre-existing data loss or corruption
- Recommend you back up data and remove sensitive info when possible
6) Parts, Materials, and Substitutions
- We may use new, equivalent, or functionally compatible parts depending on availability and job requirements.
- Some repairs involve discontinuation constraints or component substitutions; we will communicate meaningful changes when feasible.
- Customer-supplied parts are accepted only when approved; we do not warrant customer-supplied parts.
7) Turnaround Times
Turnaround depends on job type, parts availability, and workload. Any timeline is an estimate, not a guarantee, unless explicitly agreed in writing.
8) Pickup, Delivery, and Shipping
- Pickup and delivery are included with any approved paid service as coordinated for your situation (local coordination or shipment logistics).
- Risk of loss may transfer depending on the logistics method used. We will communicate shipping responsibility and insurance options when applicable.
- You are responsible for following packaging instructions when provided; inadequate packaging may result in damage not covered by workmanship warranty.
9) Warranty and Limitations
We stand behind workmanship. Warranty terms depend on the device, failure mode, and use environment and will be provided with service documentation.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- Workmanship warranty covers the specific work performed.
- Warranty does not cover unrelated failures, misuse, continued operation with known faults, water intrusion after service, collision damage, unauthorized modifications, or extreme environments outside normal design intent.
- Some failures are intermittent or multi-causal; we warrant the repair performed, not the entire system if other faults exist.
10) No Guarantee of Outcome
Electronics repair can involve hidden damage, cascading failures, or unavailable components. You acknowledge that:
- Not all devices are repairable
- Some repairs may restore function but not return a device to original manufacturer specifications
- We may decline work if reliability risk is unacceptable
11) Aviation and Regulated Equipment Disclaimer
If you submit aviation-related equipment or regulated systems, you acknowledge:
- Ampere Engineering may provide diagnostics and hardware repair services without issuing regulatory certification.
- Any equipment requiring FAA/EASA/other authority approval must be evaluated and signed off by appropriately licensed personnel/organizations.
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations for installation and operation.
12) Prohibited Items and Unsafe Requests
We may refuse service requests involving:
- Illegal modifications
- Unsafe wiring practices or requested bypass of safety systems
- Work that would violate law or applicable regulations
- Devices that pose unreasonable safety hazards
13) Intellectual Property
All Site content (text, graphics, logos, photos, code) is owned by Ampere Engineering or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission.
If we create custom designs (CAD files, harness designs, mounting solutions, enclosures), ownership and licensing terms must be agreed:
- Default: Ampere Engineering retains design rights unless a written assignment/license is provided.
14) Payments, Deposits, and Nonpayment
- Payment terms are provided at approval.
- Late payments may delay return/delivery.
- If an item is abandoned or unpaid beyond a stated period, we may treat it as abandoned property consistent with applicable law and may recover costs.
15) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- Ampere Engineering is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for pre-existing defects, third-party modifications, or failures caused by conditions outside our control.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you.
16) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ampere Engineering from claims arising out of:
- Your misuse of repaired/installed systems
- Your failure to follow safety guidance
- Your unlawful use of devices or data
