Ampere Engineering helps get e-bikes back on the road when the electronics stop cooperating. If your e-bike will not power on, will not charge, cuts out, throws errors, or loses power under load, we troubleshoot the real cause and repair what is repairable with clean, reliable workmanship.

What we work on

We focus on the electrical and electronics side of e-bike problems.

Common issues we fix

  • Will not power on or shuts off randomly
  • Will not charge or charger shows fault
  • Battery connection problems and power cutouts
  • Intermittent throttle or pedal assist issues
  • Motor cutouts under load or at certain speeds
  • Display and control errors and wiring faults
  • Brake cutoff sensor problems causing no assist
  • Water intrusion and corrosion in connectors and modules
  • Accessory installs like lights, USB power, trackers, and switch solutions

What to bring

To avoid guessing, bring the setup you actually ride with.

  • The e-bike
  • The charger
  • Any keys, displays, or accessories used during the issue
  • A short description of what happens and when it started

How the process works

  1. Intake
You tell us the symptoms and what changed before the failure.
  2. Diagnostics
We test and isolate the fault and confirm what is repairable.
  3. Quote and approval
You get a clear recommendation and price before repair begins.
  4. Repair and verification
We complete the repair and verify operation where practical.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@ampereengineering.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We focus on the electrical and electronics side of most consumer e-bikes. Contact us with the brand and model so we can confirm fit.

Yes. Intermittent faults are common and usually trace back to wiring, connectors, sensors, or power drop under load.

Yes. Charger issues and charge port issues are common, and bringing it helps confirm the real cause.

Turnaround depends on workload and parts availability. You will get a realistic timeline after diagnostics.

Warranty coverage depends on the repair type, board condition, and whether prior damage exists. You will receive warranty terms at approval.

Yes. We can recommend mitigation approaches and also support engineering changes like filtering, grounding strategy, cable management, enclosure improvements, and power integrity direction.

No. We never splice a wire that has suffered damage. Our approach is always to run new cables that are custom and in stock to ensure proper performance.

We only proceed with repair after diagnostics confirm a clear path forward. Some devices are not economical to repair, and we will be upfront about that.
